DeEnterprises, Inc. was originally founded in 1983 in the Nail Service Industry. We are located in West Chicago, Illinois. We’ve been doing custom lines for our clients for 20+ years with Nail Salons & Distributors. Over the last 10+ years we started expanding our operations into full & turn key style operations by offering Private Labeling, Custom Manufacturing & Contract Packaging opportunities. We have experience in house with Formulations, Fulfillment, Product Sourcing, Flex Packaging, Kit Building, Assembly, Labeling, Sealing, Case Building & Shipping.

Each Brand is unique so we tailor how we do business with your needs. Your account will have one main point of contact that can be reached via Phone, Email or Text during business hours. Our Account Representative will get to know you and your brand from the ground up so we can have the best Communication & Trust between our two companies. Our team quotes out each step and estimates all charges and fees upfront. We try to keep our rates affordable & low as possible. In the case of a raw material product increase we will tell you before the run.

We are a family owned company that uses our small business strengths in a Manufacturing setting. That being said, we treat your brand like our brand. We try to problem solve issues before they happen or simply give you feedback as we are putting units together that we see issues down the road to avoid. We find efficiencies in each line and have equipment to fill production runs in a timely manner. 

We have low Minimum Order Quantities based on product Formula sizes & unit sizes. There are no maximum order quantities. Scaling up tends to be a frequent concern. We have the production availability to produce large quantities, although they may be produced in portions if needed but your Account Representative will be able to give you a better idea if this were expected to happen.

Additional perks to working with DeEnterprises: Your Account Representative will keep track of Inventory Management, Part Number Designation, Bill of Materials, Weekly Reporting & Check Ins based on up to date Receiving and Completed Units.

Custom Manufacturing

Custom Manufacturing goes beyond the details of Private Labeling. We have the ability to customize our formulations to fit the needs of your brand. Custom formulas are made in batch sizes for your project directly. Once we narrow down a formulation, you choose the packaging, labels and outer packaging to fit your brand. We work with many vendors to fit your esthetic. Custom SDS & COA’s can be provided upon request.

Contact Packaging

Some clients choose to send us products in bulk. We then utilize our material handling and packaging expertise generate finished units. We can formulate, blend, package, label & kit those materials to suit their needs all in one location. We worked with big brands like World Market, Target and Amazon. We understand the strict requirements when fulfilling big box POs. DeEnterprises has the flexibility to incubate new products with small run minimums, but also capacity to fill large POs.

Product Development

Product development services are complex and very expensive. Our process is designed break those ancient expectations. We reduce the complexity by staying within our expertise and utilizing one of our many base formulas. We have already invested countless hours developing and testing hundreds of formulas.  This gives us an excellent starting formula that we can then tailor to meet the intended product requirements. Reduced hours developing the formula dramatically lowers product development cost. Once a client approves a formula and decides to move forward with an order we apply those product development charges to their first order. We view this as an investment into our clients future. At the end of the day if they keep selling, we keep selling.

Let’s start with an idea!

Before we create a tangible product we must have an idea for a product. That idea requires an answer to the following two questions. Without these we cannot start the process.

Product Category – Relates to the genre of formula that a specific product falls into.

Product Formulation – What do you like about this product? What ingredients would you like to incorporate? Are there fragrances you want to add or avoid? Any ingredient specifications?

Product Sizes – Do you currently have a product you repackage? What sizes are you interested in? How many and how often? What is your goal?

Product Packaging – What type of packaging are you looking for? Things to consider – Compatibility of the product, closures, seals, temperature changes..etc. We have the ability to component & packaging through our vendors or custom packaging can be sent to DeEnterprises. 

If you choose  to provide your own custom packaging we require component pieces to be provided for sample testing. Ex: Container type, finishing components or labels must be preapproved before receiving at DeEnterprises. We can then send out samples with our testing. Label Design – We have an in house design team designated to logo printing & label design. Custom projects can have a white label service – give us your requests on what to put on the labels & we will fill in the rest.

Outer Pack – Exterior Elements  are important in a Retail setting. We offer Box assembly, Insert creation & printing, Many different types of seals; Tamper evident seals, Shrink Wrap, Shrink Sleeves, Gripper Tape Wafer Seals & adding promotional material into packaging. These are typically the first things your clients see and you want to leave a lasting impression.

Retail Boxes can be shipped to us directly. We work with vendors that can provide you a quote & timeline.

Logistics – DeEnterprises works with many carriers all over the United States. You would provide us the information (address & essential shipping documents) of where to ship to and we will write up a quote of what that project will run you. We handle Ground Shipments via UPS, Fedex & DHL. As well as Domestic LTL & FTL shipping through a variety of carriers. Extra services offered: Liftgate, Delivery Appointment & Hazmat services.

Additional Information – COA’s & SDS sheets can be provided upon request at the time of order placement only. Full Invoice Records can be electronically sent or mailed to you.

Inventory management will be updated and sent weekly. Part number designation upon receiving, Bill of Materials Reporting with inventory management.

Procedure confirmation of each product & will receive a Sku Form before production starts to ensure all components are accounted for.

Payment Details – Payments can be made for Domestic customers by Wire Transfer, ACH or check. If our Domestic customer toal is less than $10,000 then payment can be paid by all major Credit Cards – AMEX, Visa, Mastercard or Discover. 

International clients can only pay by Wire Transfer.

Timelines – We try to be as responsive as possible. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00pm. Our account reps can be reached Phone, Text & email during business hours.

Good Manufacturing Practices

DeEnterprises, Inc. formally ascertains and guarantees that we utilize “Good Manufacturing Practices” protocols in our West Chicago, Illinois manufacturing facility.  Such practices include, but are not limited to the following.

  • We endure appropriate and regular building and structure maintenance
  • We maintain cleansing and sanitization records for all utensils and equipment
  • We maintain facility pest control
  • Employees are trained and practice appropriate FDA hygiene and contamination prevention practices  (Hair nets, beard nets, overcoats and/or sleeves, gloves and protective eye wear)
  • Certificates of Analysis of all raw materials are reviewed prior to blending to ensure they are within acceptable specification.
  • Lot numbers and retainer samples of all raw materials are taken, recorded and stowed for up to 7 years.
  • Lot numbers are generated and recorded for all finished formulas and retainer samples are taken, recorded and stowed for up to 7 years.
  • Finished products are each date coded and lot number specific.  
  • All formulations are examined and approved based on odor, appearance and texture prior to dispense.

 Furthermore, all products that DeEnterprises, Inc. manufactures whether containing plant, mineral and/or synthetic ingredients do not contain any bovine products or animal derivatives as part of its origin.  None of the products we handle, produce or distribute would ever be at risk for carrying Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy (TSE) or Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) materials.  Please note, this guarantee travels with the product as long as the product remains in the original, unopened containers in the original condition it left our West Chicago facility.  At no time during DeEnterprises’ manufacturing processes would we intentionally add or use specific chemical entities listed on the European Union’s CMR category 1, 2 or 3 listing.

DeEnterprises also certifies that it has never or will ever test its products on animals.

FAQ’s

What brands do you work with?

We keep all information confidential. Clients often ask if there are brands they would recognize  that we work with. Although there are, we do not share other brands’ information. Just like we wouldn’t share information on your brand.

What are your lead times?

Our turnaround times are fairly quick. Lead times vary for time of year but we are typically about 7-10 business days out from order placement. Order placement is considered to be after the down payment has been made and all components have been ordered and shipped. Please keep in mind that these are estimates only and are not guaranteed. If production runs are finished early we will ship them out early as well.

What are your MOQ’s?

There are minimum order quantities that will be based on product formulation and size packaging. Since each Brand is different we will write up a customized quote with all information and fees to be included.  Once the quote is confirmed we will get an estimate on shipping and move on from there. 

We do not have any Maximum limits.- Please note that large orders may be available for shipment at different times for availability.

Can I get a Sample?

Samples are available upon request. Sample sizes vary from product to product.

Salon stock sample formulas can be shipped within 24 hours. Custom samples can take up to a week to produce. From there these samples will be shipped with UPS Ground. Typically with 2-7 business days to deliver anywhere in the contiguous 48 states. Your Representative can give you a better idea of when to expect those samples.

Can I see your facility?

Our facility is not open to the public as we are in a stand alone facility with our Manufacturing plant, Lab & office. Visits can be made by appointment with your representative. Please note we do not have a showroom to test products.

How can I Pay?

Payments can be made by Wire Transfer, ACH, Check or Credit Card. Cards accepted at Amex, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Payments can be made with a Deposit of 50% down or in full.

International payments must be made via Wire Transfer Only.

Are you Cruelty Free, Vegan & Organic?

We do not test on Animals. All formulations are tested in house by our formulator. 

Organic & Vegan tend to get used a lot in the industry and we don’t classify our selves to be either. Our formulas are as natural as possible and can be labeled as such upon request. Please do your brand a favor and do your research on each ingredient before making those decisions.

Can formulas be modified? 

Stock formulas can be made with limited modifications. Some modifications will incur an additional fee for ingredients we have in house.

What if you don’t have the ingredients we want? Brands can purchase ingredients with the intent to use in formulation, but DeEnterprises may choose to hold a storage fee for warehouse the component.

Private Label Process

DeEnterprises, Inc. will have you fill out a form to the best of your ability and fill in as much information as possible. Below are the typical Steps:

Step 1: Choose your product

Product – Choose from the following Stock Formulas

Size – Choose the size of the product for your niche market. Consider your client base and market when making this decision. 

Packaging – Choosing the right packaging for your product is important. Consider what types of packaging is Compatible with the product, closures, seals, temperature changes..etc. We will source the component & packaging through our vendors.  Custom packaging can be sent to DeEnterprises. Speak with an Account Specialist to learn more.

Quantity – MOQ Specifications***

Step 2: Receive a quote

    • This product quote will give pricing based on the above along with any additional fees to be expected, pricing tiers if applicable, completed unit cost, quantities etc.
    • Samples will be sent upon request
    • We will need an order confirmation to move forward. Once the quote is confirmed we will be able to get a freight quote.

Step 3: Approve order

    • Approve Sales Order- must be in writing via email.
    • 50% Deposit down is required to start production
      • Payment Details – 
      • Domestic Customers: Wire Transfer, ACH or Check
        • Major Credit Cards accepted for orders under $10,000.00
      • International Customers: Wire Transfer Only

FDA Requirements for Cosmetic Labeling

Standard Labels are made of White High Gloss Polypropylene (BOPP material). Foil or Metailcs can be out sourced but cannot be printed in house as it is not compatible with our printer.

Silk screening can be arranged on Contract Manufacturing Orders for over XX units per sku through a local vendor. We do not offer this service but would be able to put you in touch.
