Frequently Asked Question

What is Bonder? What is Primer?

Bonder – a universal type product responsible for increasing adhesion on the natural nail. Bonders are traditionally solvent based formulations used to remove oils and raise the pH of the natural nail.

Primer-Prepares the nail bed for acrylics. Chemically they are much more corrosive to the natural nail. The primary function of primer is to bond the acrylic to the nail plate much like the roots of a tree to the ground.

Why is my acrylic so runny?

When the acrylic bead is placed on your client’s nail it should hold its shape.  When it seems like it is melting it feels like your acrylic service turns into a game of “beat-the-clock” to get an even application. This not only becomes a real challenge to keep the acrylic where you want it, but it can also lead to less than desirable results in the next coming days. Temperature imbalance & incorrect liquid to powder ratios are the main reasons. Check out our blog to learn more!

Why are my acrylics turning yellow?

There are several factors that can lead to acrylics turning yellow. Some can begin in your salon and others can be caused entirely by the customers themselves. It is important to be able to identify if the enhancement itself really is to blame or if the customer did something on their own.

Storage of Polymer next to monomer

Not properly sealing the nails

Applying acrylics to wet primer

low quality monomer

Using old or incompatible products

Contaminated products or utensils

Smoking

Tanning

Food staining

Why are my acrylics bubbling?

Having bubbles in acrylics can be caused by many factors but the most popular reasons are overworking powder on the nail, letting air get trapped on the brush, or incorrect liquid to powder ratios. Learn more here. (blog)

Can I use DeEnterprises powder for Ombre?

Which topcoat should I use?

Some may argue that the most noticeable part of a manicure is how it looks when it is finished.  Ideally, you’d like your work to shine, draw attention and to confidently know that your work is going to last long enough to be enjoyed. Here at DeEnterprises, we manufacture 6 different Top Coats (and one bonus product for Dip Systems) to put the final touches on your work. While these are all high-quality formulations, it is important to know which product to use on which enhancements. These varying options for top coats have some intricate differences affecting their compatibility with certain enhancements and services, but they are all formulated to produce a durable, long-lasting and shiny finish.

Whats the best Liquid?

Nomma Plus is our top selling monomer, and for good reason. This liquid for acrylic nails takes advantage of the advancements in chemical technology over the last 20 years. Nomma Plus is a primerless liquid, meaning you won’t necessarily have to use primer unless a specific client experiences recurring problems with lifting.  It also contains the highest possible amount of the catalyst chemical responsible for the reaction with benxoylperoxide in acrylic polymers accelerating the curing process.

What Powder can I use for Dip?

All of our Acrylic, Advanced, Crystal Free and Colored powders are compatible with all dip systems.

Whats the difference between Resins?

Thin is more commonly used as a gel base.

Medium can be used for Top or Base as it is a happy medium.

Thick is more commonly used as the top for a more shiny finish.
