The Powder Base

The second player in our reaction is the polymer powder. In scientific terms, the prefix “poly-” means “many.” Therefore, polymer molecules are simply many individual monomer links that have already been pre-joined into long, solid chains.

It is crucial to understand that many incredibly cheap powders on the market branded as “acrylic” will never properly cure with liquid monomer because they completely lack BPO in their formula.
