Just as we used advanced chemistry to build the enhancement, we must use chemistry to safely reverse the process. Never pry, nip, or forcefully “pop” acrylic off the natural nail. Forceful removal physically rips away protective layers of the natural keratin matrix. Because the acrylic is chemically bonded to the nail plate, mechanical force doesn’t just remove the product—it takes several layers of the client’s natural nail with it, causing severe, long-term biological damage and thinning the canvas for future services.


The Science of Solvation

Instead of force, we rely on a professional-grade chemical solvent: Acetone. To understand removal, we must understand how acetone interacts with our sophisticated copolymer blend.

When the polymerized acrylic is properly soaked in acetone, the solvent molecules act as tiny wedges that penetrate the 3D cross-linked network. In chemistry, this is known as solvation. Rather than “melting” the nail, the acetone molecules force their way between the polymer chains, causing the entire structure to swell and disentangle.

Over the course of 10 to 15 minutes, this process transforms the solid, rigid acrylic structure back into a soft, gummy substance. By allowing the chemistry to do the heavy lifting, the broken-down polymer can be gently wiped away without any scraping or trauma to the nail. This preserves the integrity of the natural keratin, leaving the nail underneath completely undamaged and ready for its next flawless DeEnterprises application.
